Below you’ll find answers to the questions we get asked the most about Mobile Computer Support Limited and our residential and business services.

I don’t want to lose my data when you perform the computer repair. Is it safe?

Your data is perfectly safe. We will make a full backup of all your data before making any complex computer repairs.


All our repairs are covered under a three month warranty. If hardware has been supplied and installed by us then it will come with a 1 year warranty unless otherwise specified.

My laptop screen is cracked/broken. Can you replace it?

Yes, we can replace laptop screens.

Can you repair games consoles like the Xbox, PlayStation or Wii?

Sorry, no. We only repair laptops and desktop computers.

Do you repair Apple Mac computers, tablets and mobile devices?

I’m sorry, no. We only repair Microsoft based systems.

Can I drop my machine off for you to look at later?

No, Sorry. We only provide OnSite computer repairs for home and residental customers, we believe this is the safest way to protect your data.

What are you opening hours?

Our opening hours are from 8:00am to 8:00pm Monday through to Friday. We are normally closed on Saturday and Sundays but we will usually still answer emails within 30 minutes.

Is your work insured?

Yes. Mobile Computer Support Limited is fully insured, and your computer will be protected if anything should happen to it.

Do you accept different forms of payment?

Yes. We take debit and credit cards, PayPal, BACS transfers and of course cash. (All credit and debit card payments can be made via chip & pin) when your engineer arrives onsite.

Is Mobile Computer Support Limited registered on the Data Protection Act Register?

Yes. We are fully DPA registered.

Can you build or supply new computers?

Yes. Although we do not keep new machines in stock, but we can help you find the right machine or build one to your specifications if required.

Do you have a ‘no-fix-no-fee’ policy?

Yes, We never charge diagnosis fees and all Computer Repairs are covered by our no-fix-no-fee guarantee so you know your guaranteed a fix without paying a penny. Our exception to this is, if an appointment is booked and we arrive onsite and no fault is found or the appointment was not cancelled within 2 hours of the arranged appointment then a fee of £29.00 will be due.

Can you do same day computer repairs or computer upgrades?

Yes, but only if you call or book an appointment before in before 10:00am. We never charge extra for same day service.

How do you charge for upgrades and repairs?

We will quote you a fixed price for the work, which will vary depending on the difficulty of the work, all our onsite computer repairs and computer support work is charged by the hour (our charges are available from the prices page).
